    photography, cockroach feces

Insect droppings have always been defined by me as microscopic sculptures. Food is shaped into unique forms by the insect's mouthparts, digestive system and anus. And cockroaches can almost eat most of the organic matter, I would like to praise them as the most hardworking and excellent sculptors.

In this series of works, I feed cockroaches with materials from my personal life such as clothing fragments, book pages, and food. These things with personal memories or cultural information pass through the belly of the cockroach and become feces. I photographed these feces with a scanning electron microscope (SEM) and exported them as huge pictures. At this time, the cockroach feces look like huge floating meteorites, planets or monument.
