Two-channel video installation, handmade fireworks, ashes of mosquitoes that died naturally, wood, rubber balloons, etc.

A mosquito lives for a little over thirty days. When one circles near me for an entire day, it is the equivalent of a person spending more than two years with me. It drinks my blood, carrying a part of me as it drifts toward another person’s body heat, then flies on to places I have never reached. In this way, they become extensions of my bodily memory—fragments of a mirror of my life.Mosquitoes disrupt the apparent integrity of the barriers between living bodies, revealing that organisms are not sealed individuals. They challenge our assumptions about the completeness of the self, about boundaries, control, and privacy. They also blur the lines between the individual and the collective, between human beings and disease, reminding us of the fragility and interconnection of our bodies.

I never swat the mosquitoes that have fed on my blood in my room. After they die naturally, I collect their bodies and carefully cremate them into powder. I keep a portion of the ash, while the rest I mix with an accelerant to make fireworks. When these fireworks are ignited, the mosquitoes—and a part of me—burn together in the air.A specially made rubber balloon, close to the color of human skin, has a surface area roughly equivalent to the skin I expose in summer. It hangs suspended in the air, its surface scattered with scorch marks left by the fireworks’ spray. Carrying the memory of my body, you continue to exist, until time dissolves us both.

一只蚊子大约有30多天的寿命，当一只蚊子在我附近盘旋一整天，相当于一个人花了2年多的时间陪着我。它吸了我的血，带着一部分的我飘荡向另一个体温，再飞向我不曾到达的地方。它们成了我身体记忆的延伸，成为我生命镜像的一个碎片。蚊子打破了生物体之间屏障的完整性，使生物不再是密封的个体。它挑战了我们关于自我完整性、边界、控制与私密的构想。

我从来不去击打在我房间吸过我血的蚊子，它们自然死亡后，我会收集它们的尸体。我认真地将它们火化成粉末。一部分粉末被我保留，另一部分被我用助燃剂混合，制作成烟火。这些烟火点燃时，蚊子和一部分的我，将一起在空气中燃烧。一只接近肤色的特制橡胶气球，面积与我夏季裸露的皮肤相仿。它悬在空中，表面散布烟火喷溅的灼点。你携带我的身体记忆继续存活，直到时间将我们共同瓦解。
